About

A small project with a big commitment

We believe every child deserves the chance to learn — and that the best way to begin is to say honestly where we stand.

01

Who we are

Dream Builders Foundation — Quỹ Kiến Tạo Giấc Mơ — is a community project taking shape in Cam Lâm, Khánh Hòa, with the aim of becoming a nonprofit organisation working for fair learning opportunities for disadvantaged children across Vietnam.

We are a small group of people who believe education is the most lasting way for a child to change their own life. We do not have many resources, but we have seriousness, patience and a clear plan.

At this moment, the project has no legal status, does not accept donations and has not launched official activities. We chose to say so publicly from the start, because transparency is the foundation of everything we hope to build.

02

Our story

The project began with a simple question: what stops a child in a rural or mountain village from staying in school — and what could we realistically do about it?

As we looked closer, we found the barrier is rarely one big thing. It is many small things added together: no textbook set at the start of the year, a torn backpack, a dim classroom, no computer to get used to technology, and no one to guide them when they want to learn more.

From that, our four programs were born — each aimed at one specific barrier, from the most basic essentials to a free learning platform for the future. We call this journey "building dreams" because we believe children's dreams do not need to be given to them; they only need the path cleared.

03

Why we exist

Vietnam has made great progress in universal education, yet the gap in learning conditions between cities and the countryside, between lowlands and highlands, remains stark. A student in the city may have their own computer, English classes and a library nearby; a student in a remote village may walk for hours to a makeshift classroom with no books to take home.

We exist to contribute — however modestly — to narrowing that gap, through concrete, measurable actions that always keep children at the centre.

Our Mission · Our Mission

To bring fair learning opportunities to disadvantaged children in Vietnam by providing learning equipment, books, everyday essentials and computers, improving school facilities and developing a completely free online education program.

We believe every child deserves the chance to learn, grow and pursue their dreams, regardless of family circumstances or where they live.

Our Vision · Our Vision

A future where economic circumstances or geography are no longer barriers to children accessing knowledge and developing their potential.

Core values

Six values that guide every decision

Compassion

Compassion

We begin with empathy for children and their families — listening first, acting second, and always respecting the dignity of those we support.

Equal Opportunity

Equal Opportunity

Where a child is born and their family's circumstances should not decide whether they get to learn. We prioritise the places where opportunity is scarcest.

Education for All

Education for All

Knowledge is a shared good. Every learning resource we create will be free and open to all children, teachers and parents.

Transparency

Transparency

We say clearly where we stand, what we have not yet done and how resources are used. Trust is built on honesty, even when it is not easy to hear.

Sustainability

Sustainability

We choose small and solid over big and fragile — reusing devices, building local capacity and designing programs that can last.

Community Empowerment

Community Empowerment

Schools, teachers and local communities lead; we walk alongside. The ultimate goal is communities that own their own educational journey.

Our commitments

What we promise the community

  • Entirely nonprofit

All resources go to children's education. No one owns the project for personal gain.

  • No promises we cannot keep

We announce activities only once a plan, resources and an implementing partner are in place.

  • Child safeguarding first

Every activity, image and piece of data follows the project's child-safeguarding policy.

  • Local partnership

Working with schools, authorities and communities, in compliance with Vietnamese law.

  • Public reporting

Regular publication of activities, finances and what we have not yet achieved.

  • Continuous learning

Start small, measure, listen and adjust before scaling.

04

Our future

In the coming years we aim to become a fully registered nonprofit organisation, with an independent board, audited financial reports and a partner network across many provinces.

We also hope to access technology support programs for nonprofits to help develop Dream Learning — but this can only happen after the project meets the necessary conditions, and we do not treat it as certain.

The only certainty is our commitment: to take each step with care, transparency and the best interests of children above all.

05

Governance & transparency

We are researching the appropriate legal framework in Vietnam and intend to build a governance model with a founding group, an advisory board and — once legal status exists — an independent governing board with audited financial reports.

Our Transparency page is ready to publish licences, reports and policies as soon as those documents exist.

Build dreams with us

The project is taking its first steps and needs serious companions: teachers, technology specialists, businesses, schools and organisations that share our goal.
